Eric Houle Joins Iraqi Children Foundation Board of Directors
The Iraqi Children Foundation (ICF) is pleased to announce that Eric Houle has joined its Board of Directors. Eric brings over 20 years of experience in corporate restructuring, turnarounds, strategy development, and private equity advisory.
Before his career in the private sector, Eric served as a U.S. diplomat, focusing on foreign policy, geopolitical risk assessments, and national security interests. He has held leadership roles across both private and public sectors, including investment advisory in regions such as Africa, the Middle East, and South America.
Originally from Canada, Eric moved to the U.S. in 1995 to play Division I hockey. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and French from Union College and an MBA from Emory University.
Reflecting on his appointment, Eric said:
“Having served as a diplomat and spent a significant amount of my career overseas, I’ve seen the challenges vulnerable children face in conflict zones—especially those with disabilities. I joined the board of ICF because its work delivers tangible, lasting impact. I’m fortunate to work alongside a group of committed stakeholders at ICF to help the foundation expand its reach and ensure more children in Iraq receive the protection, support, and opportunities they deserve.”
ICF is excited to welcome Eric to the board as the organization continues its mission to protect and empower vulnerable children in Iraq.
